Thank you for visiting my site. Mastering is my main business now and it requires a good ear and a willingness to listen to what the artist wants from the track (not just turning it up!) and then making sure this fits the requirements  of the platform it is being mastered for.

The important thing about getting a song mastered is that it's the final check of your music by someone else, with fresh ears and they can listen to the track with out the hangups of having already mixed it, written it and see where it needs to go to be "finished". I don't like Mastering my own mix's as you are to close to the sounds to be impartial with final decisions.

 

I like to hear a pre-Master so I can give constructive feedback before Mastering, this always ends up with a better result in the end. I also will do 3 revisions of the track until it is right and working for the client.

I have great passion for mastering and recording and enjoy the entire process of getting the best performance from an artist or out a track that needs the final 10% to make it shine.

I have been working on new material for my bands Suns Of The Tundra and Jadis along with mastering tracks for Vaughty, VG, Tableau, GaryB and Sea Of Sin. 

 

In the last few years I have produced, engineered and played on the music for the 3 TV series of "Tracey Ullmans' Show" on BBC1 and HBO in the USA, which was Emmy nominated in the US.

 

I have been playing various instruments, including piano, trumpet, bass and guitar since the age of 4 and then got into recording aged 13. I later did a recording course at the Gateway School Of Music in London and have since recorded, produced, written and mastered  music constantly.

Slovo - Dave Randall's band (Faithless, Dido, Rowland Gift), for whom I mixed and co-produced 'Todo Cambia' released in 2007 as well as filming and editing the video 'The One' from the same album. We also played shows at Glastonbury amoung others and live radio sessions on Radio 2 and Radio 6 Live. I have also taught at CLC (City Learning Centre) for Wandsworth Council teaching a Sound Recording and Technology course for 3 years. I still teach how to use Logic and Digital Recording Techniques to private clients as well as Guitar and Bass lessons.

 

I have played and recorded Sessions (guitar and bass) for many people over the years including Marc Almond (Soft Cell) - playing guitars on his album 'Variete' and on Scar a single released in 2015 from the album The Velvet Trail, guitar on a single with Bryan Adams and LoveRush UK, Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer The Opera, Miles And Milner) and Alan Parker Urban Warrior, playing in various comedy bands with Al Murray The Pub Landlord on drums!

Music and Sound-FX for 'Posse', a computer game, The Frank Skinner TV Show - recording backing tracks for the show with very tight deadlines. Co-wrote a song for Liquid Blue 'Rescue'  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-12Zx-PFlc released in the USA, which has won 4 song writing awards in the USA, and been played in over 100 countries around the world live by the band and also covered by an Australian artist, Jo Gann on Sony/BMG records. Released a track on Cafe Del Sol 'Closer' - by B ig String  featuring Juilie Harrington. Worked on the Sound-FX for a dance show called 'Flow' by Hubert Essakow working with cellist/composer Peter Gregson in 2013. Also arranging the music for an in-progress musical in New York written by Richard Thomas and Amanda Green.

 

In recording and engineering i have recorded many bands, singers and voiceovers over the years including Hipjam, Slovo, Suns Of The Tundra, Marc Almond, Sam Fox, Richard Thomas, Ooberfuse, Rowland Sebastian Faber, Julie Harrington - with whom i have recorded for Steen Thøttrup, Activa, Cafe Del Mar, John O'Bir, Alpha Duo and Big String. I have also recorded and mixed audioguides for Strawberry Hill Stately Home in London, Voiceovers for TV series and recorded Jazz Bands, Rock Bands, Pianists, Horn sections, Opera Singers, Gospel choirs, percussion and on...

I have also worked in layout and design for various companies as a freelancer including the BBC, News International and various Magazines and Publishing Companies. As a Photographer I have sold pictures of bands, landscapes, kids etc and designed company logos, album  and singles artwork and videos.
